Dynamic Duo

Well, one looks a little more dynamic than the other. This team, Henry the dog and Baloo the cat, have developed a shared love of exploring. Cynthia Bennett and Andre Sibilsky of Denver document the family's adventures on their website, Our Wild Tales. If you are to be a bit cynical, they look like they are monetizing too, but proceeds from sales of promotional stuff goes to good cause. Let's leave that behind and just drink in a few photos.

The two pets were adopted at different times but quickly became inseparable and travel companions. From the Colorado mountains to the Pacific Northwest forests, Baloo has trekked alongside Henry, keeping the pace. Other times, the smaller feline hops a ride on his big brother. Baloo frequently rests on Henry's head. Apparently it's just a way for the two to be close. After expeditions, they're always snuggling together in a sleeping bag, hammock, or the back of Sibilksy's Jeep.

Bennett, a professional photographer, captures their explorations into the wild to the delight of 2 million Instagram followers. Henry and Baloo are the subjects of an annual calendar, and part of the proceeds benefits shelters and rescues, and a new book was released in 2020. There's also the Henry & Baloo Foundation, a special land preservation effort to help save the American West.
